FireEye Acquires Verodin, a Security Management Validity Verification Platform
The Verodin Security Instrumentation Platform complements the two existing cyber security products and services. Conduct tests to detect vulnerabilities caused by problems such as equipment misconfigurations, IT environment changes, and advanced attack methods.
The platform, combined with FireEye's front-line intelligence, enables the security environment to be measured and tested against known and emerging threats. It is integrated with FireEye's security orchestration feature "Helix" to help customers prioritize security management and automate updates.
Verodin's products will be offered as stand-alone products by Verodin's resellers and FireEye's channel partners.
In a statement, FireEye's CEO Kevin Mandia said, "The security effort does not lead to the same effectiveness of security. This is a security conscious customer's red team in their network. That's why they're doing the exercise: they need to figure out exactly how effective their security program actually works. "
The Verodin acquisition is expected to accelerate FireEye sales and billing growth. FireEye has updated its Q2 guidance with acquisitions, with sales to be in the $ 213 million to $ 217 million range. It is expected to be in the range of $ 890 million to $ 900 million for full year 2019.
