On June 12, a march for the freedom of the journalist “Medusa” Ivan Golunov will be held in Moscow, against which a criminal case was launched about the sale of drugs. This is reported on the event page on Facebook.
The organizers are demanding the release of a journalist and "punish those who threw drugs, fabricated and ordered a criminal case."
The event starts at 12:00 at the metro station Chistye Prudy. Next, the participants will proceed along the route: Myasnitskaya Street - Stoleshnikov Lane - Bolshaya Dmitrovka.
The march will end outside the building of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow on Petrovka Street, 38, where single pickets will then pass. The event will not be coordinated with the authorities: instead of posters, participants will carry newspapers with articles about Golunov.
“We hope that the city authorities will not obstruct the march, but cannot guarantee this. We use our constitutional right to freedom of peaceful assembly, ”the report says.
The correspondent of the investigation department of Medusa, Ivan Golunov, is under house arrest on charges of attempting to sell drugs (art. 30, art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code). The police claimed that they had found several bundles with drugs - methylephedron and cocaine in his apartment and in his apartment.
The journalist insists that drugs were planted on him. The examination did not detect any narcotic and psychotropic substances in the control washes from the palms of the hands and nail plates, as well as in the analyzes of Golunov's urine.
